Hand Therapy
Cascade provides specialty hand therapy services delivered by occupational therapists who are certified hand
therapists or have a minimum of three years of direct experience in hand rehabilitation. A certified hand
therapist is an occupational or physical therapist with a minimum of five years' experience and 4,000 hours
in the direct provision of hand rehab, and who has passed the hand certification examination.
Cascade therapists work closely with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes following surgical procedures. Our
hand therapy program is suited for individuals with such conditions as:
- repetitive stress (e.g., carpal tunnel),
- traumatic injury,
- arthritis and related disorders, and
- orthopedic injury.

The treatment we provide may include custom splinting and orthotic fabrication, injury-specific exercise
programs, soft tissue massage or mobilization, and functional activities or modifications. We also provide
a variety of services to help injured workers return to their work.
